New Year's Resolutions
Run a Marathon or Half Marathon with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training!
How many of us make resolutions? Let’s be honest…nearly everyone does. And nearly everyone is great about striving toward those goals for the first few days or weeks, but we typically fall off course and end up making the same resolutions the next year.
What is the most common resolution? You guessed it…exercise and weight control. We feel that the reason that this is so hard to stick to is because it requires a plan, as well as accountability.
Well, if you’re ready to make 2008 a year that you won’t forget…and a year that you accomplish something great…then read on.
The new season for Team-In-Training is just about to begin. We will be coaching a number of great Santa Barbara locals, of all abilities, to train for, and complete, a marathon or half marathon. Whether you walk, run, sprint, or crawl…you CAN do this.
What’s the best part? You get to impact the lives of people with Leukemia and Lymphoma and be a part of something much greater than ourselves. You also get expert training (the plan) and will meet a ton of really great runners/walkers who will go through this process with you (the accountability).
Now, before that little voice in your head pops up and says, “I can’t do that,” let us tell you a little something. You absolutely can!! Now, whether YOU think you can or can’t…you’re right.
We have a great coaching staff, a great set of clinics, and some amazing destinations. We’re sending teams to San Diego (not a bad place) and to Alaska (wow!). Please come to one of the information meetings listed below, or contact Carrie Coffman for all the information, and to have any questions answered.
